Ladies in the Industry: Music and Media—Empowering Women Leaders
Jasmine Kemp’s story aligns perfectly with the mission of Ladies in the Industry: Music and Media (LITI). At LITI, we bring leaders together to create new successors, fostering partnerships between women through shared experiences. Our organization is dedicated to raising the level of collaboration among women by pairing mentors and mentees who share similar life experiences. Through workshops, seminars, and activities held in cities like Washington, D.C., New York, Atlanta, and North Carolina, we provide women with the tools and resources they need to grow and succeed.
One of our flagship initiatives is the LITI Brand Ambassadors program. These women leaders in the music and media industry dedicate one day a week for six months to mentor a young woman who shares their personal experiences. Ambassadors create tasks for their mentees, allow them to shadow their work, and, at the annual LITI GALA, award their mentees with tips and tools to assist in their success. Kemp’s work as a mentor and advocate makes her a natural fit for the values LITI stands for.
